Valentines Day Festivities...

Brian brought home these pretty gerbera daisies for Reilly and Ellie...
they were so thrilled to have their very own flower!

I was the lucky recipient of these beautiful roses! Aren't these fabulous?! I'm not a fan of red roses (even I know they mean "I love you")-- I prefer something a little more uncommon.

I never cease to marvel at the beauty of nature!
For breakfast, I made "fox in the hole eggs"...Valentine style!
This has become one of my signature breakfasts--
My mom used to make us these...We used to fight over the little toast cutout!

Some friends of ours from our ward are moving today. I told them that I'd take them dinner, so I made up these heart shaped rice krispy treats and brownies for their dessert. My kids were happy to know that I saved some for them, too. (They always claim that I always give the good stuff away--and never save anything for them)

I went to get more straw and duck pellets today at Davis Feed Mill, and this is what they gave me! I swear! I love this place. I always pretend that I'm a farmer everytime I walk in-- (minus the skoal in my back pocket)
For dinner, we all went to Five Guys...They supposedly have the best burgers in town. I don't know who was more excited to try them out...me or the kids.
I didn't take any family pictures (Brian gave me a huge eye roll and a "You gotta be kidding me!" just for taking this one picture)...I decided to just leave it at that.

Yes! the burger was tasty...Not "the very best I've ever had in my life", tasty, but I'd definately go back again...

All in all...a good day...now I'm off to my favorite part of the day--a hot bath!

**Do you have a "signature" breakfast?
**Can you believe that they were handing out roses at a Feed Store?
**Do you like red roses?
**What's your favorite burger?

  1. Five Guys is hands down my favorite burger place. And their fries are to die for! Kicks In N' Out's butt!

  2. five guys is opening a place in the next town over from me! can't wait to try it-- if it were not for cheeseburgers I could almost be vegetarian.

I like any rose, but like you- red are not my favorite. I like the peach/orange ones... & I normally hate anything peachy colored.

  5. My signature breakfast is cereal or a toasted bagel, I'm so very fancy.

That photo of your roses is gorgeous, I love the lighting especially.

That burger looks so tasty, too bad it's 11:22pm and I can't feed that craving.

  6. My signature breakfast is pancakes or waffles, of course with whipped cream and strawberries. They are also good with chocolate chips and whipped cream, but the whipped cream has to be home made.
I love roses but love lillies more. By the way are you a professional photographer?!
My favorite burger is that burger at Red Robin with the pineapple on it.. I think it is the Bonzi Burger.. yummy

  8. those daisies are so pretty! tell the girls that those were my wedding flowers. :)

i love when mom used to make those eggs. I've tried it with josie, but she just doesnt get it.

signature breakfast would be anything Josie can safely consume with her word hole. :)I've gotten pretty good at pb&j breakfast sandwiches.

    nice pictures!

  9. I love the big pink daisies for your girls and the roses ARE beautiful.

My husband makes these fantastic omelets for breakfast any time we ask him too. He'll also make the pancakes if I make the batter.

I think it is lovely that they handed out roses at the feed store. That's pretty amazing.

I don't think I have a favorite burger. I like lots of onions, tomatoes, pickles, and cheese on my burger. I love the cheese in tobago. If there were a burger with THAT cheese and lots of onions, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes THAT burger would be my favorite!

I'm glad you had a lovely valentine's day!

  10. My goodness, you are a blogging maniac!! I've been working late for the past three weeks, I mean late (11:00=-12:00pm) getting my studio ready to move across the parking lot.....) It's a drag! By the time I get home, I can't do a thing but wash my face and drag into bed. So, here I am, taking a dinner break at my desk and try8ing to cram all of my catchup in a few minutes before going back to the dredges of sorting, filing an culling....

The breakfast tortillas look divine! Your valentines day seems to have been a hit, and just get over having to change your RS date! It is maddening, maybe those who have not gone to so much effort and work should be the ones to change their date!!

Wish I had more time to comment on each post, but this will have to do for now. Back to the grind.....
