For Reilly's 9th Birthday, we invited Emalee and Caroline Day to New York to go to the American Girl Doll Cafe for lunch...
After the train ride into the city, we stopped off for a treat at Crumbs Bakery...
Then it was onto every 9 year old girl's dream come true...

After shopping for new doll digs, we went to the cafe for late afternoon tea...
The cafe was darling as you can see. We were impressed with all the details...
We had finger sandwiches and sweet treats served on a three tiered cake stand. (Not sure why I didn't post a picture of this) and Reilly got a special little birthday cake for dessert.
We took the girls to the hair salon for their dolls to get a new hairstyle...
The train ride home was filled with giggling as they recapped the day...
The next day, we enjoyed a family dinner at home with a popcorn cake--
and gifts to top off the evening...
It was definitely a birthday to remember!
