HAH! there are a few houses here with similar decor. Christmas lights and blow up decorations are still up. I found one house that had a pile of pumpkins and cornstalks still standing (before our massive snow storm last night)
I still have my pumpkins sitting in my kitchen--you are making me ashamed!!! So glad that you are back to blogging--you may inspire me to come back as well!
gulp!!! :o) hey- your first post about that subject is still showing up with a few sentences- what does it take to scrape that pumpkin up and put it where it belongs??? ( oh yes,- i just unpluged my christmas lights on my shop yesterday!!!!!)
My yard is full of garlands, greens, wreaths and my mailbox is loaded with greens and exlarge pinecones...well, it's the weather! Every time I think I might venture out to take them down of late, they are covered in snow! I guess I'd better make a renewed effort, lest I loose my standing with you of superwoman. Sheesh!
let me know how you solve this dilema... my new apartment has 2 apartments per floor... mine and the other door has an extremely hideous Christmas wreath proudly displayed! not to mention a bunch of junk piled up to the side, an old bed for one, i guess if anyone needs a place to stay in NY, get passed my doorman and you can sleep on our semi private landing? so fun to share with tacky!
Zoey points out every single Christmas decoration and declares, "Christmas is over!" She's with you on that one. The pumpkin, if you can still call it that, is just wrong. WRONG I say!
I cut the Christmas decoration people slack when it's still cold and snowy outside, but the liquified pumpkin is nasty! They're probably too afraid to do anything about it, perhaps a Monson-family service project is in order.
I am a wife and mother of three children, three ducks, three cats, and fourteen fancy chickens. Where I lack in the rhythm and math skills department, I make up for in my passion for being in the garden, creating, decorating, reading and cooking.
