Dear Squirrel or Bold Deer,
Have you no respect for porch displays?
What was the point of picking the kernals out of the hull and then just leaving them on the step?
Was it to taunt me? Don't you know I'm super uptight about things of this nature?
Insincerely,
Shannon
You're honesty about your uptight nature makes me laugh. I wonder what animal did that?
ReplyDeleteOh, we saw a HUGE frog the other night. It reminded me of a post you made last year or sometime a long time ago about a huge frog in your yard. I don't think frogs eat Indian corn though.
Too funny. Let us know if you hear back from the squirrel or bold deer!
ReplyDeleteOMG you are so funny. I love this entry. And I loved your urns at Susans. Saw them today. Loved them!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, my mom made a very elaborate scarecrow each year. I would put corn cobs in the deep in pockets of the overalls. Squirrels would find the corn cobs and scatter them around the yard. It became a game for me to find the cob and put it back in the pocket. Yet another pesky creature I am NOT fond of.
ReplyDeleteHAH! we did this last year also and found that it was getting eaten. I actually bought some 'squirrel corn' and put it in the back yard feeders, thinking it would distract them and keep them in the back, but it only doubled the amount of critters eating our junk and the speed in which they did it. This year, i just have mums and 2 pumpkins. no corn. :)
ReplyDeleteit's nice of you to feed ALL the wild life that happens by. you're a good girl, shannon. :o)
ReplyDeleteyou have a history of people/things/animals taunting your porch. shall we analyze? hmm.
ReplyDeleteyou are funny, and they are bold.
Well, it gives us something to laugh about, even though you are not too happy about it:-) I wonder what kind of animal it was!
