Don't get me wrong--I love snow! Especially the excitement that builds before it actually starts!
It's always something that seems to bring people together... And when it finally happens, the beauty of it never ceases to amaze me...
But I can't help but think about the day when a scene like this... will look something more like this!...or instead of this...there will be this!...
the walkway through the snow drifts... will be a walk through roses and herbs...
But until that day, I will take advantage of the quiet peacefulness of this snowy night...
(We got at least a foot!)
and curl up to a good book...
I can't wait to go out tomorrow morning and see all of the animal tracks in the snow...
We haven't had snow in like 2 weeks! Yay!
ReplyDeletehow beautiful is this post! we're working on a post from this end... nice going, shannon!
ReplyDeleteahhhh.. i much rather prefer the warmer, sunny pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the snowed in cozy feeling that comes when we get a big snow, but it doesn't seem to happen as often as I think it should.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to get a hankering for spring and flowers and all that outdoor goodness that comes when the seasons change!
Love the pictures! I'll bet the kids are having a blast... Josie didnt want to come in. Her mittens were lost and was wearing socks on her hands. She thought that was great :)
ReplyDeleteYour yard is beautiful! I love the way snow looks when it is piled high on top of things. And it is sooooo quiet after it snows. I don't mind the snow. And I love the spring. It's when it is cold but no snow that I don't like as much.
ReplyDeletejust love the opportunity to hunker down in with a book and maybe even warm soup. i'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteWow....you guys are got a lot of snow!!! I think you are getting all of Utah's snow this year.
ReplyDeleteI would love the excuse to read a good book and not worry about anything else! Enjoy!
My yard will never look like yours, but I am anticipating some warmer weather. We did, however, enjoy being "forced" to hunker down at home yesterday. We played and ate and slept - what more could I ask for?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment on my last post.
wouldn't a nice warm afternoon in the flowers be just perfect today...ahh i love summer and it is so cold right now it makes me shudder. your yard is stunning both summer and winter, the seasons are fun
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the plants are dripping with frosting! Consider yourself lucky...I consider our snow season to be quite sucky...
ReplyDeleteWhoa girl! That first photo should be my winter blog banner!
ReplyDeleteLove all the photos, snow and garden!
I'm having a home office day today, due to another snow storm (!)...I guess you can see I'm getting distracted!
I see the birds out now, Shannon, and it's giving me hope! I enjoyed the snow when the family and I were baking but am ready for spring now!
ReplyDeleteCall me and maybe Skye and I can take Elie off your hands around 3 one day...
If I had your yard, I would be dreaming of spring and summer for sure! I think the idea of walking through roses and herbs is dreamy.
